This illustration is inspired by book of Song of Solomon:
“Come, my lover, let us go to the countryside, let us spend the night in the villages. Let us go early to the vineyards to see if the vines have budded, if their blossoms have opened, and if the pomegranates are in bloom – there I will give you my love.”
(Songs 7:11-12)
The time has come for the fruit and harvest. Remaining in God, the Soul brings a lot of good fruit. The Beloved is wearing a dress decorated with precious stones – these are the gifts of the Holy Spirit, reflecting the glory of Christ. The palm branches on her garment are the praise and worship from her heart to the Lord. She is hugging a heap of ripe wheat – taking care of the harvest of souls. On her banner you read the scripture from Hosea: “O Ephraim, what more have I to do with idols? I will answer him and care for him. I am like a green pine tree; your fruitfulness comes from me.” (Hosea 14:8) cop. Aleona Isakova
